Anatoly Mefodevich Mosiychuk

Was born in Ukraine on January 8, 1942.

In 1965 he entered and in 1970 he graduated from the Moscow higher is art-industrial school (former Stroganov), after which he joined in active creative activity. The first serious work was a series of ten reliefs for the ship "Alexander Pushkin" (by the order of the Austrian ship-building company "Kornoyburg"). This was followed by numerous works for the motor ships "Lev Tolstoy", "Alexander Blok", "Yesenin", etc.

From the first steps of the creative activity of A. Mosiychuk was not spared the attention of the press. Every year he was awarded diplomas and prizes for the best work of the year the Art Fund of Moscow and the Moscow Union of Artists.

In 1976, he was accepted as a member of the Union of Artists of the USSR. Since that time he has been involved in public work of the Union of Artists of Moscow. First, the Bureau of the section, then the Board and the Secretariat of the Moscow Union, as well as in numerous art councils.

He was repeatedly elected and was a delegate to the Congresses of the Union of Artists of the USSR. Since 1988, was chosen and put into the position of acting Secretary of the Union of Artists of the RSFSR (1988-1993,).

In the mentioned years, they were filled with many significant social work. Including artistic solution of the five stations of the Moscow metro station "Babushkinskaya", "Aviamotornaya", "Nakhimovsky prospect", "Krylatskoe", "Vladykino" (decision metro station "Nakhimovsky prospect" was awarded a diploma and the title of Laureate of the all-Union competition for the best work of the year in architecture (1984), the monument to the Soviet prisoners of the concentration camp "Neuengame" (Hamburg, Germany, 1985).

In 1992 nominated for the State prize of the Russian Federation (the Exhibition of the candidates in the State Tretyakov Gallery).

In 1992 he was awarded the title of Honored artist of the Russian Federation.

In 1999 the decision of the Presidium of the Russian Academy of fine Arts A. Mosiychuk was awarded the Silver medal. 

In 2004 was awarded a diploma of the 1st degree and the title of Laureate of the exhibition-competition of a name of Victor Popkov. 

In 2007, was awarded the title of People's artist of the Russian Federation.

In recent years, in his works a special place was occupied with painting and drawing.

A. Mosiychuk was a participant of many Moscow-based, Republican, all-Union and foreign exhibitions. On account of his well as a large number of group and especially personal exhibitions on the territory of the USSR, Russia and many foreign countries. His works of painting, sculpture, graphics are in the collections of: the State Tretyakov Gallery, State Russian Museum and other museums and collections of Russia and many countries of Europe, Asia and America.

The works of recent decades (especially personal exhibition) testify to the high professionalism and spirituality in his art, clearly marked with a creative manner. Currently, out of fundamental publications on graphic art and painting, which absorbed a small part created, but clean cut for understanding of his work.

Died in 2013 in Moscow.
